I Have a Friend in Klonopin

from Shelly the Cat ~ Tribute by Shelly the Cat

/

about

A tribute to where I was at the end of the summer. This one goes to someone who I used to call “My Bear.” It’s been hard without you, and I’m not blaming you for all that has happen to me, just I want you to know the effect that you not being in my life at all has brought me. I miss the old you and yes I know he’ll never be back. I just can’t handle change. And with the amount of change I had this past year or so all I want to do is to go back. These pills are just making me numb, but that’s what the doctor says will help. I’m sorry that you still have this hold on me, and this album is where I put all my emotions when I couldn’t express them to someone else. Thank you to everyone listening.

lyrics

I wake up to too many pills
Vaguely nauseous down the stairs
Force myself to eat a bowl of cereal
But what’s the point?
Can’t see how someone could be satisfied by this

The year of the egg is the only one I can’t get past
Bethel fixes all the puzzles but she’ll never get
Dispatched
Daniel’s Hawaiian T-shirts aren’t coming home
Now you’re with your two gowns all alone

9:45 time for our second dose
Like this one better medicating myself
Force more food down throat can’t get this off of my mind
Kind of glad my brother can’t see me now

The year of the egg is the only I need to get past
Bethel’s done all the puzzle yet never been dispatched
Daniel is 1000 miles away
Tribute to a death have to stay.
